They’re a great way to get an introduction to someone’s material and find out if it’s something you want to pursue further. I also love network marketing (at its best — at its worst I’m as annoyed by it as anybody else). What makes the difference between good network marketing and bad network marketing? Training. More specifically, good training.

So I was really pleased when my friend Gail Stolzenburg called me up and told me about the free MLM teleclass program he’s involved with and invited me to join them and offer a class on building your network online.

Here is a sample of what will be featured for the month of October:

*Discover the virtual handshake to build your network online
*Learn how to prospect like a professional
*Find out the 7 keys to getting all the free publicity you want
*Double your sales
*Know how to recruit with ease, to grow your team today
*Learn about the Irlen Method
*Find out how to manage fear
*Discover how to dump credit card debt
*Find three easy ways on how to empower children financially
*Envision how bio-energetic healing can change your life
*Learn how to deal with people differently
*Uncover the secrets to building your million dollar business
*Become wealthy without a job
*Create breakthroughs in every area of your life
*Know how to select a 6 or 7 figure network marketing opportunity

My class is on October 15, but the next class is Monday, October 1, so if you’d like to learn more, take a look at the detailed class schedule. The classes are free, but pre-registration is required (you can register through the schedule page).

In case you’re wondering what I’m talking about, in the submissions for today’s Carnival of the Capitalists, there were about 10 entries from a group of blogs, all of which were set up fairly recently, using the same basic layout, and (most importantly) were using articles from EzineArticles without proper attribution to the author or EzineArticles — and in almost every case they were cutting out the author resource box, which means this was being done by hand, and deliberately.

So who’s the culprit? Here’s all the evidence:

Welcome to the August 20, 2007 edition of Carnival of the Capitalists. While blog carnivals have become all the rage lately, this one is the grand-daddy of them all, at least for business blogs. It’s one of the few that still travels from blog to blog each week (as a carnival should — that’s why they’re called carnivals, folks!), and I’m happy to be hosting it this week on my new blog, Revenue River. This site’s a little different than most of the sites that host CotC, but also a little different from most other sites covering the same topics. I hope you’ll poke around a few of the recent posts while you’re here.

Without any further adieu, here are this week’s entries:

More and more we’re seeing this trend in social media… revenue sharing with the social media and social networking content providers who are really the ones bringing eyeballs to these sites. The latest really cool addition to this that I’ve discovered is TheNewsRoom.

TheNewsRoom allows you to embed individual stories or a player featuring multiple stories, like the one below, on your site. Then they embed advertising within the player and you get a revenue share from it (more after the player).

And by the way, I’ll just go ahead and give a teaser that I actually have read the e-book now, and for the most part, it’s pretty good — certainly worth the free download and an hour to read it. I’ll do a review of it in part 3, but for now, I’m going to talk about the sign-up process a little more.

See, everyone is hopping on the Web 2.0 bandwagon these days, especially all the internet marketing gurus.
Now, that beats the heck out of a minimum-wage job in a cubicle or a fast-food restaurant, and it doesn’t cost you a dime to participate and get started. Also, a lot of the work takes place a few seconds or a few minutes at a time. So if you’re home-bound and have a lot of distractions, it still works for you, whereas a traditional job and even a lot of work-at-home opportunities might not.

The secret, though, to making better money at these things is knowing how to watch for the better payout opportunities and taking advantage of them.
