nospam.gifWell, folks, I was going to be on time with Carnival of the Capitalists, but unfortunately, it seems a large number of blogs have sprung up that are ripping off articles from EzineArticles and reposting them on blogs — stripping out the resource box and not giving proper credit. As if that weren’t bad enough, they’re then submitting them to blog carnivals.

So instead of being able to use the nice convenient “insta-carnival” feature from BlogCarnival.com, I now have to spend an extra hour or more checking every submission for which I don’t recognize the submitter’s name and blog and go cross-check it against EzineArticles and Google.

And to all you a-hole blog spammers out there who wasted my time this morning… I’m coming after you. I will be:

  • Outing you all on the CotC post

  • Marking you all as spammers in the Gmail account for CotC submissions
  • Reporting you to EzineArticles
  • Contacting the rightful copyright holders whose content you’re stealing
  • Finding out your domain registration information
  • Generally doing everything I can to put you out of business. You’re not only wasting my time, you’re stealing, and it’s not just unethical, it’s illegal.

So, CotC will be up as soon as I can finish sifting through the junk, so you don’t have to.

the blogs in question are also posting with a false date. I have an ezine article that was not approved because I used too many web ites referenced, and I didn’t get back to fix it for well over a week. When I got it down to 3 links the article was published on the 29th of the month. When I found that it had been scrapped, they posed it with a date of the 28th - the day before. If Google were to look it would appear that I copied the article and added hyperlinks to the text.
